Awards shows can be the perfect tool for predicting where wedding fashion will go. What I learned from The Grammy’s this year is that long sleeve gowns with a sexy back will be very chic next winter. Carrie Underwood showed a sultry side with a low cut back in her shimmery white gown. The gown is actually tulle-based with hand-sewn sequins. So gorgeous. I think this dress would be perfect for a holiday wedding- especially New Year’s Eve!

Two of my other favorites were Paris Hilton and Kelly Rowland. Both dresses featured an A-line cut with a detailed design on the front. Paris’ gold print was carried onto the small cap sleeves, and accentuated with a gold belt. Again, this dress would be beautiful on New Years Eve, but it would also be perfect for the entire Holiday season. Kelly Rowland’s dress was stunning in a light cream/off white color. The dark silver floral embroidery was beautiful and just popped on her. This look is perfect for a fashion forward bride who doesn’t mind dipping her toes into the unconventional world.

Lastly, I think Katy Perry looked absolutely beautiful in this conservative blue gown.While some brides might be wary of blue- it could be the perfect choice for a second wedding. The conservative nature is also a great choice for older brides. This dress would fit in great for a spring wedding in a colder climate- fits with the season, but also with the surprise cold front that could come your way!
