06 Jul Destination Wedding: Southern-Style Meets Classic-American Wedding in Granville, Ohio
Welcome to Real Wedding Wednesdays! Each Wednesday we will feature a favorite Real Wedding or a Styled Wedding that is certain to inspire and delight. Today, in honor of the 4th of July, we had to feature this romantic and all-American red, white and blue wedding. Brad and Leanne (who was certain she’d wear vintage but instead fell in love with this Vera Wang) were married midsummer in Granville, Ohio and celebrated their nuptials with a southern-style meets classic-Americana theme. From the guests festive red, white, and blue attire, to the BBQ cuisine and the flag-draped photo station, this creative bride and groom really captured the essence of an All-American wedding theme.
Some of our very favorite details from this American wedding were the homemade posters (screen printed by the bride and groom) that served as wedding invitations and really set the tone for this rustic-chic affair; the clusters of hydrangeas in milk-glass vases were the perfect centerpieces to top their tables for their family-style dinner; and definitely the ’53 Chevy pickup that was loaded with beer, including one variety brewed by the groom and a friend. Everything was truly in the details for stylish bride who wore a locket that held family wedding photos and slipped a lace ribbon off a wedding gift to tie her delicate posy of Queen Anne’s lace. And the most romantic detail of all…this handyman groom (with the help of Leanne’s brother) constructed the low wooden stage on which he set up an old Army tent for he and his bride to exchange their vows. Swoon….
