Well…it’s almost here. It’s almost here and I cannot believe it arrived so quickly. This day always creeps up on me. You know I’m talking about that Turkey eat’in (healthy farm raised of course), football watch’in, let’s be lazy and all get fat together glorious day we call Thanksgiving. This will be our very first Thanksgiving in Denver and this Texas girl is hoping for snow. I am so excited to be hosting my in-laws who are coming to visit for the first time. In my excitement I have been perusing my favorite Entertaining and DIY blogs for holiday decorating ideas. I want to set a beautifully festive table, but unfortunately a trip to West Elm is not in the budget. SO…DIY and TJ Maxx is it! And I just found the perfect DIY Metallic Leaves on Oh Happy Day. These will be easy and so perfect on my table. If like m – you are looking for affordable, last minute Thanksgiving decorating ideas you can stop here! I plan on scattering these metallic leaves down the center of my runner and filling a few small glass containers with them. I also plan on hole punching a few and tying them around towels in the guest bath. Also, I adore these for fall wedding decor so brides take note. These leaves would look excellent scattered about your tables and accenting centerpieces; or as guest tags for welcome gifts and bags. You could also commission a Calligrapher (or your go-to friend with pretty penmanship) to write your guests names on them…and voila! Metallic Leaf Place Cards! The ideas a truly endless.
