24 Feb Introducing The New Collection by Sarah Jessica Parker
“Men I may not know, but shoes — shoes I know,” Carrie Bradshaw of “Sex and the City” once quipped. And if you are as obsessed with Sex In The City as I am you know exactly which episode this quote came from. Ladies, hold on to your fedoras because in just 5 days the gal who played our most beloved shoe queen will launch her very own high-end shoe collection. The 48-year-old actress who brought Bradshaw to life knows fabulous shoes so it came of no surprise when this exciting news landed in my inbox. Over 25 stunning Italian-crafted shoes, handbags and a classic “Manhattan” trench coat (all inspired by Parker’s personal style) will be included in this colorful collection. The highly anticipated line, appropriately named the SJP Collection, will be available online and in selected Nordstrom stores on February 28. The Ina, Etta, and Maude pumps among others will be a favorite among brides so don’t miss you opportunity to grab a pair before their gone! And man oh man do I have my eye on the Stella clog.
- The “Maude” style retails for $375 The “Ina” shoe in green ($355).
The “Leslie” wedge in coral ($245). The “Stella” clog ($395).
The black satin “Pola” heel ($365). The “Etta” sandal in mauve ($425).
A message from Sarah Jessica Parker:
“At long last I am able to share the news of my coming shoe collection and my partnership with Nordstrom in a more official way. When I initially met with George Malkemus to discuss the idea of a shoe line, one of the first things I said to him was that Nordstrom was my dream retailer. And so it seems some dreams do come true,” says the actress and designer.
“This endeavor has been a long time coming, but now that the pieces have come together as they have, with Nordstrom, George and a collection I’m so very proud of, I believe it was worth the wait. I’m incredibly nervous about the launch but so thrilled to finally reveal more details of the collection in the coming weeks. And I’m so looking forward to meeting and actually seeing the shoes on Nordstrom customers as I travel to stores across the country. That will be, I think, the most thrilling moment of all.”
The SJP collection will be available online and in selected Nordstrom stores on February 28.
