05 Sep Celebrity Wedding: Kate Bosworth and Michael Polish’s Wedding
Guess this is the week for celebrity weddings! Today we bring you details from gorgeous actress Kate Bosworth who married writer-director Michael Polish in Montana on August 31, 2013. Kate and Michael enlisted none other than Martha Stewart Weddings to help them pull off their big day! This beautiful bride wore one of two custom (yes two, and of course custom!) Oscar de la Renta dresses and the groom in a dashing bespoke, three-piece charcoal Brooks Brothers suit. Martha Stewart Weddings (who will publish an exclusive story and photos from Kate’s wedding in it’s December issue) first began collaborating with the couple several weeks ago after they secured the The Ranch at Rock Creek and invited their guests. Notable guests included actress Lake Bell and Academy Award–winning actor-producer Walton Goggins.
According to Martha Stewart Weddings Kate wore two custom dresses by Oscar de la Renta. For the ceremony, she selected an ivory radzimir-satin strapless ball gown and that featured a sweeping eight-foot-long, 16-foot-wide train. Can you say va-va-voom!? For the reception, the bride chose a floral embroidered tulle dress with an illusion neckline and scalloped cap sleeves.
The four-day celebration was held at The Ranch at Rock Creek, which is situated on 6,600 scenic acres of private land near Philipsburg, Montana (population: 930). The grooms paternal side is from Montana so this special location was selected for it’s personal meaning, privacy, and rustic old-world charm.
Martha Stewart’s creative team worked with the couple’s monogram, designed by the groom as a twist on a rancher’s brand, and applied it to various party elements including burlap welcome bags. Each tote contained a bottle of huckleberry soda and included a handwritten message from Mr. and Mrs. The menus included Victorian-inspired detailing.
